Too much power, too much money, and anyone can be turned into a little brat. Take the recent brawl in the Indonesian parliament. What? Just because a bunch of adults can't agree on something, does it mean they need to be climbing on tables and throwing tea cups? LOL
I was watching the ABC news and i thought to myself... instead of spending millions on a magnificent marble lobby and using resources for the army rather then feeding the poor and homeless, why don't the governments turn a room in parliament into a boxing ring and cut the army in half? I mean is it really necessary to kill 50+ of your own people in say Iraq (i'm talking about Australia) and then hundreds over there? If they want to fight for something why don't they fight their own battles instead of hiding behind their ten thousand dollar redwood desk! And add another 5000 for a computer and maybe a few hundred thousand dollars for a sectary... and other money for their stuff.
Think about it, yes we need the army to help around, like in emergencies like floods or say patrolling our boarders out on the ocean. But if we didn't go to war for silly little things likes Iraq, we wouldn't need so much people in the army and maybe their pay could go to better use, like hospitals, schools and aged care. And maybe we won't have a shortage on laborers because we have people to do those jobs now they aren't in the army.
Doesn't anyone else agree? And if the governments fought with fists or choose one person to fight from each side, we would have things like the arms race/cold war. What ever you want to call it, there wouldn't be any need for freaking nuclear bombs and what not and if all guns where destroyed or kept to the minimal, no one would die from them. Therefore less killings. I mean it's a lot harder with a knife, I'm quite certain of it, if you choose the right gun, you wouldn't even have recoil. As with a knife you might get bloody... and you'd have to use strength etc.
Sometimes i wish i could discuss these things with someone, writing to a blog is like talking to a wall, no one is ever going to read this... ahaha!
